A few minutes’ walk from the centre, The New Barn holiday cottage is part of the town’s historic Royal House – a rare urban medieval dwelling and Tudor Merchant’s house, that has been in continuous use since the 15th century.

This lovely 2-bedroom cottage is comfortable and spacious, with its medieval character sympathetically maintained. The ground-floor accommodation comprises one double and one twin-bedded room plus shared bathroom, with a large open-plan living room and kitchen upstairs. Works from The Tabernacle collection hang on the cottage walls for you to enjoy during your stay.

A break at The New Barn is a fantastic way for music and art lovers to have more time to take in our exhibitions and concerts. It is also the perfect base from which to explore the local area and its other attractions including the Centre for Alternative Technology, Ynyslas Nature Reserve, The Dyfi Osprey Centre and the beaches of Aberdyfi.
