MOMA and The Tabernacle Machynlleth are committed to providing full and equal access for everyone. We also understand that access needs are broad and diverse. Please do not hesitate to contact us in advance of your visit to discuss any access queries that you may have.

Charges

Entry to all of MOMA Machynlleth’s exhibitions is always free. However, to manage safe entry to exhibitions during Covid-19 we now ask that all visitors book their appointment in advance. Our galleries currently remain closed in line with Welsh Government guidance and bookings for exhibitions will reopen when we announce our reopening.

Our lunchtime talks are usually free. Other Tabernacle and Gŵyl Machynlleth Festival events are individually priced, ranging from free to £20+. Concessionary prices are available for all charged events and we offer free tickets for companions and carers of those with additional needs.

Quieter Times In Galleries

Galleries are open daily, Monday-Saturday, 10am to 4pm. Our galleries tend to be quieter between 10am-11am, or 3pm-4pm, as well as on Thursdays, for those that wish to visit at a quieter time.

Blue Badge Parking

Blue badge car parking spaces are available at the back of the centre. To book your space, please contact us in advance of your visit on 01654 703355.

Please note that there are no other car parking spaces available at the centre.

Assistance Dogs

Guide dogs and hearing dogs are welcomed in all areas of MOMA and The Tabernacle. Please let a member of staff or volunteer know if your dog would like drinking water during your visit.

Level access and lifts

MOMA Machynlleth has lifts to all floors and level access to all gallery spaces.

The Ruralist Room, MOMA’s street front gallery on Heol Penrallt, has level access from street level.
All other galleries, as well as the café and shop, can be accessed from the courtyard adjacent to the Ruralist Room on Heol Penrallt. The gallery entrance is located on the left-hand side of the courtyard. The lift to the first floor and Tannery Galleries is then located just off the Foyer Gallery, to the right-hand side of the entrance.

The Tabernacle has four dedicated wheelchair spaces. You can book in advance by contacting us on 01654 703355.

Lift access into the Tabernacle is available via the courtyard entrance for the galleries, and the lift itself is just off the Foyer Gallery.

Borrow a Wheelchair.

A wheelchair is available to borrow for your visit. Please contact us on 01654 703355 to book this in advance or ask a member of staff or volunteer when you arrive.

Accessible Toilets and Baby Changing Facilities

We have an accessible toilet on the ground floor. This is located at the end of the Foyer Gallery, and the Foyer Gallery is also used as the bar for Tabernacle events. Our baby changing facilities can be found within the accessible toilet.

Induction Loops

An induction loop is installed within the Tabernacle hall. We are sorry that we do not have an induction loop available within the galleries at this time.

Places to Sit

Tables and chairs are available for rest and refreshments in our café. Wooden bench seating is also provided in most of our galleries.

Interpretation Materials and Large Print

We provide a range of interpretation materials including labels and text panels for exhibitions, and concert programmes for events. These are available in Welsh and English. Please ask a member of staff or volunteer if you would like any print materials provided in large text.
