For the last seven years, Ursula has either been walking or writing about walking. She wouldn’t call herself an adventurer, more of an extreme rambler. Wild camping and outdoor living is a way of life.

Her first book, One Woman Walks Wales, is about an ovarian cancer diagnosis and subsequent 3700-mile walk around, through and across Wales. Having just finished a 5500-mile walk across Europe, she’s planning to walk LEJOG in January 2022. Then staying still for a while to write the next book.

Ursula’s talk at the Snooker Room on Sunday 28th November covers two endurance challenges: walking across Europe and writing a book about the experience. Ursula tells the story of what it’s like to walk 5500 miles, through three winters, fourteen countries and a global pandemic. Then, how she approached turning that story into a condensed, enjoyable book.
