Two Triples: Zeynep Öykü & Cerys Hafana

Turkey’s leading harpist, Zeynep Öykü is the first and only performer of the triple harp in her country, and the only harpist focussing on early music, from Medieval to Baroque.

Cerys Hafana is a Welsh triple harpist and composer who mangles, mutates and transforms traditional music.

Alongside her husband, Zeynep founded Turkey’s only harp making workshop. She’ll be bringing Cerys’s new travel triple harp to Wales in Janaury, and they decided it would be nice to mark the occasion with a concert.
