Ann Evans the founder of the Heritage Hub 4 Mid Wales has organised this special event and celebration of the legacy of Laura Ashley co-workers who were instrumental in the phenomenal global success of a cottage industry which all began in the Market town of Machynlleth in 1961.

In June 1995 “Period House & its gardens” magazine front cover said ‘Wales, Laura Ashley’s Promised Land’. One day there will be a museum dedicated to the life and work of Laura Ashley and that people will flock from around the world and it will be opened by royalty.

Ann’s mission is to raise the aspirations of the heritage custodians of Laura Ashley and to inspire future generations to develop a Heritage Hub for Bernard & Laura Ashley and the many thousands of families that worked for the Ashley family here in Mid Wales, these are pioneers who have paved away for others to follow and learn.

Featuring talks by Ann Evans, Tegwen Morris (Merched Y Wawr), Russell George AM, Cllr Michael Williams, and a small fashion show.
