We head back to the 17th and early 18th centuries, the Baroque era, for this concert. Handel and Purcell’s music can be wistful, delicate, bold or energetic – but always approachable and instantly appealing. Their music is complemented by duos from their French counterpart, Leclair, all in the hands of Rachel Podger, a musician who radiates joy, and musicians from her ensemble, Brecon Baroque.
