We extend a very warm welcome back to Thomas and Dominic, both soloists well known to us and this time as a duo. Both have won many awards in their field. Their full biographies will be available in the programme.

Welsh violinist Thomas Mathias has been broadcast live as a soloist on S4C Television and BBC Radio Cymru, and has given recitals across Europe and North America. Thomas is an Associate Artist of the Young Classical Artists Trust (YCAT) and Countess of Munster Trust. He won the Royal Philharmonic Society’s Julius Isserlis Scholarship and is a Hattori Foundation prize winner.

Thomas is Artistic Director of the Tenby International Music Festival in Wales, United Kingdom. He will be joining the acclaimed Mithras Trio in the summer of 2026.

Pianist and Chamber Musician Dominic Degavino has performed in venues across the UK including solo performances at the Wigmore Hall, Southbank Centre, London as a Park Lane Group artist, at the Bridgewater Hall, Manchester and the Lichfield and Edinburgh Festivals among others.
Alongside work as a soloist, he is a passionate chamber musician, accompanist and jazz player, performing extensively with ensembles including he Mithras Trio and flautist Meera Maharaj.
