Three former members of Cwmni Theatr Maldwyn, who are soloists in their own right, come together once again to give us a feast of music. They will perform songs from the shows as well as other well-known songs. It has been a few years since they last performed at the Machynlleth Festival and are back by popular demand.

This event is supported by The Friends of The Tabernacle.

A Note from Festival Artistic Director, Dennis Jones:

Welcome to a very different Festival this year due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, which has put a stop to all concerts in the Tabernacle until this point. But as you can see, the festival is alive and healthy, and we hope to return to a full festival programme in 2022.

This year we will have a night of Songs from the Welsh musicals, together with some well-known arias from other musicals. The artists for the evening are Aled Wyn Davies, Sara Meredydd, Edryd Williams, with Linda Gittins accompanist, together with Glyn Owens compere. All artists are established soloists and have taken leading roles with Cwmni Theatr Maldwyn.

I hope that you enjoy the evening, whether as one of our lucky live audience members, or indeed online from the comfort of your home.

Please make sure that you read our Festival FAQ’s before you purchase tickets.

For those not successful in securing tickets, tickets are also available separately to watch this event online at 7.30pm on Friday 20 August.
