A morning of song, starting with the simple beauty of Vaughan-Williams’ wordless Prelude and culminating with Brahms’ songs of longing, slumber and rest. The mood of rapture is also present in works by Michael Berkeley, and there’s a new piece for mezzo and viola by Brett Dean, who here performs alongside his daughter, the charismatic Lotte Betts-Dean.
