Dr Brenda Davies is a Consultant Psychiatrist and author who teaches and does peace-building, conflict resolution and healing work worldwide. The author of several books on spirituality and health, her first novel was a bestseller, The Girl Behind the Gates. Brenda’s second novel, The Hummingbird Stone, set in Zambia and Zimbabwe, will hopefully be published in 2022. After living many years in Zambia, she is loving living in Wales.

Brenda’s talk on Sunday 28th November at Rendezvous centres around finding belonging in a foreign land. Having felt from early childhood that she belonged in Africa, Brenda finally arrived in Zambia at twenty-eight. There she found a deep sense of belonging that led to an enduring love affair with the country and the people that spans over fifty years. Her work there has informed and inspired her medical career, writing and work for peace and conflict resolution worldwide.
