John Clow photographed in the mountains of Snowdonia for over thirty years. This exhibition is a selection from the prints he exhibited, entered into competitions and used as the basis for the numerous talks he gave throughout the UK. Many, with provenance to that effect on the reverse, also have his personal stamp and are signed, titled and dated. They were all dry-mounted for durability and represent a unique glimpse into the career of a master landscape photographer as well as a dramatic and atmospheric portrayal of the mountains he loved first as a climber and later as a photographer. John Clow’s sketchbooks and miniature watercolours will also accompany the exhibition.

All the prints are for sale and we are grateful to MOMA Machynlleth for providing the opportunity for us to extend the exhibition first mounted in late 2022 at Ffotogaleri, Machynlleth.
