A unique feature of Welsh music, the Cymanfa Ganu is a festival of sacred hymns sung by the audience in four-part harmony under the direction of a choral conductor. The Cymanfa Ganu is an integral part of Welsh heritage and largely felt to be a success if a strong emotional response is generated amongst the audience. The Machynlleth Festival welcomes you to continue this tradition by opening with its own annual Cymanfa Ganu, this year with Côr Meibion Aberystwyth and conductor Alwyn Evans.
