PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING CAREFULLY BEFORE ENTERING

– Artists can enter ONE piece of work. This should be a new work inspired by the theme.
– Work can be in any medium, including textile and photography. No AI generated work.
– Work should be two-dimensional. Box frames are accepted. No light boxes or electrical work.
– We use mirror plates to hang works. We will supply the mirror plates.
– To attach mirror plates we use screws, so all works must be framed or backed with wood, unframed canvas on a wood stretcher is allowed.
– Minimum frame or backing thickness: 15mm
– No metal or clip frames. No loose paper / card.
– Work must be presented as one item (to be hung with one set of mirror plates).
– All work must be for sale, with a realistic selling price. Remember to include the commission, (see ‘Sale of Work’ section).

ENTRY FEE
– Entry fee can be paid by cash or card. In person, over the phone or online.
– After entry fee is paid you will receive a printed entry pack.
– Entry pack contains: A copy of the rules, an entry form, and a yellow work info label.

SIZE
– Maximum size including any frame: 36 x 48 inches (914 x 1219mm)
– This means the longest edge must not exceed 48 inches (1219mm), and the shortest edge must not exceed 36 inches (914mm).

PREPARATION FOR SUBMISSION
– Please complete the supplied entry form.
– Entry form can be returned to us with the work or in advance.
– Please complete all three parts of the yellow label. Leave all parts attached.
– The ‘Work No’ boxes will be completed by us.
– Attach the label to the back of the work with thin string, long enough for the label to hang over the front of the work.
– Please write the following information on the back of the work: Artist name, work title, medium, price.

DELIVERY
– Delivery week: Monday 15 June to Friday 19 June 2026, 10am to 4 pm.
– Works may be delivered earlier with prior arrangement.
– Works can be delivered in person or via courier / post.
– If delivering works in person, please remove all packaging and take it away with you.

– Good care will be taken of all works submitted.
– MOMA Machynlleth cannot take responsibility for any damage or loss, however caused.
– Artists are advised to insure their work against damage or theft.

JUDGING
– A panel of judges will be selected by MOMA Machynlleth.
– Judges will select a strictly limited number of works for inclusion in the exhibition.
– The judges’ decision is final.

NOTIFICATION
– Please supply a self-addressed, stamped envelope with your entry form.
– The bottom part of the yellow label will be returned to you in this envelope.
– This will tell you if your work has been selected for the exhibition or not.
– This is also your receipt for collecting the work – please keep it safe.
– Prize-winners will be contacted by phone.

EXHIBITION
– The exhibition runs from Saturday 27 June to Wednesday 9 September 2026.
– The exhibition will be officially opened at 12 noon on Saturday 27 June with a ‘private view’ and prize-giving ceremony.
– All entrants and their family and friends are welcome to attend this event.

SALE OF WORK
– If a work is sold a commission of 1/3 is deducted by MOMA Machynlleth.
– Please remember to include this commission in your price. (An easy way to calculate this is add 50% to the price you would like)
– If you are registered for VAT please let us know.

– If a work is sold, artists will be notified and we will ask for bank details to arrange payment.
– MOMA Machynlleth operates an optional staged payment scheme called Picture Plan.
– Picture Plan allows purchasers to spread payments over a maximum of 12 months.
– Works being bought by Picture Plan will not be released to purchasers until payment is complete.

– Artists will be paid via bank transfer when we have received full payment from the purchaser.
– Please note: If a work is being bought by Picture Plan this could be up to 12 months later.

COLLECTION OF WORK
– If your work is not selected for exhibition please collect it before 3 July 2026.
– All unsold work from the exhibition is to be collected between Monday 14 and Friday 18 September 2026, between 10am and 4pm.
– We regret we cannot arrange the return of works by post or courier.
– Please note: MOMA Machynlleth reserves the right to dispose of uncollected work after 18 September 2026.
– If you require more time to collect a work please arrange this with us.
