She was also an extraordinary individual in other ways \u2013 an important psychic medium, who was studied over many years by the Society for Psychical Research; a feminist; a suffragist; and a Liberal politician, passionate in her support for Irish and Welsh home rule.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Peter Lord is an art historian, the author of <em>The Tradition: a New History of Welsh Art, 1400\u20131990<\/em>. He has published two books about the subject of this talk: <em>Winifred Coombe Tennant. A Life through Art<\/em> (Aberystwyth, 2007) and <em>Between Two Worlds. The Diary of Winifred Coombe Tennant 1909\u20131924<\/em> (Aberystwyth, 2011).
