We are delighted to present a retrospective of landscape painter and poet Clyde Holmes (1940 \u2013 2008).<\/p>\n
Clyde\u2019s works have been exhibited widely in England, Wales and Europe as well as being held in public and private collections in the UK and abroad. His works were also featured in the \u2018Visions of Snowdonia\u2019 television series, narrated by Sir Anthony Hopkins.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy painting is concerned with expressing the mystery and power of the wilder aspects of the landscape which we\u2019re all part of \u2013 there\u2019s no difference between nature outside us and nature inside us.<\/p>\n
In my painting I\u2019ve been attempting to express the silent dialogue between light and dark. We all live somewhere between lightness and
