Sculpture Cymru members attach great importance to an individual approach, concerned with the physicality of sculpture and its practice.  They engage with a range of media, such as wood, stone, bronze, iron and mixed media, using various processes such as carving, fabricating and casting. Their explorations of their chosen material offer ways of addressing issues of audience, community, source and the importance of the everyday understood as source, inspiration and reference. The group considers that sculpture is an art form that crosses over disciplines and lends itself to exploring new ways, new technologies and new approaches. Members continue to engage with current issues, the ongoing climate debate for instance, the abuse of our environment and how to promote a notion of creativity within the challenges faced by us all in a post covid world.
